CCI has been awarded the first of several upcoming waterline replacement projects for the Oglala Sioux Regional Water Supply System on it’s Mni Wiconi Coreline. On the west side of Fort Pierre, SD, the Coreline Replacement project will include the relocation of Fort Pierre waterlines before continuing with the replacement of nearly 3 miles of 24″ steel water main with PVC.
Due to highly corrosive soils, the current OSRWSS 24″ steel watermain has deteriorated to a state which requires frequent repairs and causes disruptions to the water supply for the Pierre area. As such, the system has decided to replace the current pipeline in segments. The current segment runs through the Fort Pierre industrial area and will require a complex connection procedure, repaving of Waldron Street, and numerous appurtenances.
CCI crews will work on the Coreline project throughout the 2025 season, wrapping up in 2026.
