Beaver Water District Steel Pipe

CCI has recently been awarded a 2 mile stretch of 72″ steel raw water line in Northwest Arkansas for the Beaver Water District. This pipeline snakes through hills and hollers from the treatment plant to an intake on Beaver Lake. With significant rock formations and undulating terrain, this project will provide plenty of challenges to CCI crews. The project will also include the removal and installation of several surge towers, air release structures and blowoffs, as well as a cathodic protection system and pipeline coatings. CCI crews will tackle this project through 2025 and into early 2026.

The Beaver Water District is a large wholesale water provider that services numerous separate distribution systems and municipalities, totaling over 400,000 people in NW Arkansas. The region is experiencing explosive growth due to a growing industrial and commercial sector driven by proximity to the Walmart headquarters. The Springdale-Fayetteville area also boasts much natural beauty and sporting options and a progressive business environment. Currently, the system is ramping up its infrastructure to reach and intermediate goal of providing 220 MGD, with a total build out goal of 440 MGD within the next 20+ years to meet the growing demand.

Carstensen Contracting looks forward to working with the Beaver Water Raw Water and once again with Black and Veatch and Olsson and Associates on the engineering side.
