As the holidays and winter weather slow down the construction industry, CCI uses the lull to regroup and train its key personnell. For several years now, CCI has brought in the majority of our employees for three days of training in areas of safety, quality control, and company policies, as well as to get together and share knowledge and tales learned over the busy construction period. This year’s safety focus was on confined spaces and trench safety, while also providing defensive driving and DOT requirements classes. Employees also received information on the company insurance program and 401k policy to make sure they were comfortable with and taking advantage of these plans. With several projects set to kick off this January and February, these employees were updated on all CCI company policies and what is needed and expected of all of us at CCI to continue the long tradition of success that Carstensen Contracting is known for.
